As we light this one small flame,
let it stand for the unquenchable fire of light and truth
which burns brightly at the start of creation,
and in every human heart
that is kindled with the divine flame.

Strong Father God, protect us from harm. Show us how to care for those weaker than ourselves.

A regular Sunday
Here we have gathered to make another link in the chain of days that binds our lives in fellowship.
We bring our whole self to worship, with all the pleasures and the pains of our daily lives. All our hopes and dreams and fears are here with us. Our remembrance of days past and of people
God is in your nostrils
God is spirit.
God is light.
God is in your nostrils.
God is sun.
God is nature.
God is up there,
and down here.
God is gracious.
God is merciful.
God is in every breath you breathe in and breathe out.
God is fire.
God is mighty.
God is the strength in your heart,
and your help
Let our community be one of warmth
Let our community here, be like this flame.
Let us be strong. Let us be vibrant. Let us be bright.
And above all else, let our community be one of warmth.

You are the flame of the chalice. You dare to be seen, to flicker and dance your beautiful, vulnerable, dance. You have come alive to the possibility of the world. Your warmth embraces those around you. Your light illuminates our sacred purpose.
You are the flame in the chalice. You burn brightly because you are safe
Chalice lighting, for those who are not in the room
We light this Chalice for the people who are not in the room.
May our circle of light fall upon those on the margins; the vulnerable and forgotten, those trapped at home by illness and age, those who feel judged, excluded, ashamed, in pain.
May our warmth hold those with precarious lives; carers and struggling parents, those

As we sizzle in summer, fall into fall, then wither in winter –
Now let us spring into spring!
As the joy of each bud breaks forth,
Let our hearts burst,
With the warmth and radiance of renewal.
New life, new hope.
