When the world hurts, a prayer

Let us join together in a time of prayer and reflection.
Let us turn our minds and our hearts to that which is, for us, sacred, and let us draw ourselves into the
presence of that spirit which some of us call God.
And let us
Morning prayer
We are here to approach
the authentic,
the substantial
and the truthful,
to follow our inner calling,
to invoke our deepest selves
and more than this:
we are here to encounter the divine
in ourselves,
the sacred in one another
and to find connection with
the holy in all things.
May we be calm,
in
Ours is a caravan

Ours is a caravan of hope
For, travelling through a landscape bare,
We, in our thoughts and dreams, have scope
To find a sweet oasis there.
Ours is a caravan of peace,
For even in the jungle wild,
We’ve space to let our struggles cease
And rest as gentle as a child.

The hope of a new day
This morning is a gift.
Every morning you have another chance.
Sometimes you do nothing,
sometimes you get lucky and the day shines on you
but how often do you seize the day with your hands and make it your own?
This morning may we wake up to this new day and this life with each other
and try to build
Deep within you
There is a place of peace,
A place of wisdom,
A place of love.
May this sacred centre be your guide,
May it be your strength for the journey,
May it fill you with hope when all seems hopeless,
And may it lead you to know the sacredness in all.
Spring
As we sizzle in summer, fall into fall, then wither in winter –
Now let us spring into spring!
As the joy of each bud breaks forth,
Let our hearts burst,
With the warmth and radiance of renewal.
New life, new hope.
Let us spring into spring!
We join together now…
We join together now to worship as a beloved community.
Each individual brings to our gathering faith and ideas, but each of us also yearns to share fellowship one with the other.
May we look beyond any differences to the common bonds that unite us: Faith, hope, and love.
And may those divine qualities shine through our worship today.
